曹錦輝的新聞很難懂？

成為自由球員的曹錦輝加盟洛杉磯道奇，怎麼看都是件好事，而且是簡單的事，但台灣媒體就沒辦法完全搞懂。

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have acquired a right-handed counterpart to
left-hander Hong-Chih Kuo.

On Wednesday, they reached agreement with Chin-hui Tsao, like Kuo, a native
of Taiwan who signed for a whopping bonus only to have his career derailed by
multiple injuries.

Tsao, once the top prospect in the Colorado farm system, was non-tendered
by the Rockies after missing the entire 2006 season and most of 2005 with
shoulder labrum and rotator cuff problems. He underwent arthroscopic surgery in
May 2005 and hasn't pitched in a regular-season game since.

Tsao opened the 2005 season on the disabled list, was activated long enough
to convert three of his four career saves, then was disabled and never returned.
He has a 5.80 ERA in parts of three Major League seasons.

He was signed in 1999 to a $2.2 million bonus and underwent Tommy John
elbow reconstruction in 2001. Finally healthy in 2003, he spent half of a season
dominating in Double-A, then was promoted to the Major Leagues, where he made
eight starts. His shoulder problems surfaced the next spring, limiting him to 9
1/3 Major League innings in 2004.

In seven professional seasons, Tsao has 63 2/3 Major League innings. Kuo,
who has battled back from two Tommy John operations, has 65 Major League innings in the same seven years.

The Dodgers have agreed in principle on a one-year, split contract with
free-agent reliever Chin-Hui Tsao, a right-hander who once had such dominant
stuff that the Colorado Rockies dubbed him their closer of the future before a
torn lab rum derailed his career two years ago.

The deal, which is believed to carry a major-league salary of just more
than $400,000, is contingent on Tsao passing a physical. But he isn't expected
to undergo one until sometime next week, and passing it will be far from a slam
dunk.

Colorado officials had enough doubts about Tsao's ability to return that
they opted not to offer him a contract after last season.

Tsao underwent arthroscopic shoulder surgery in May 2005 and hasn't
appeared in a game since. Tsao's work ethic reportedly came into question during
a rehabilitation that went on much longer than normal for such a procedure.
There are i ndications that Rockies officials at times couldn't locate Tsao, who
lists Denver as his residence but grew up in Taiwan.

Still, the deal carries little risk for the Dodgers because Tsao has one
minor-league option left. And at age 25, Tsao theoretically would have many
productive years ahead of him if he could successfully return to the big
leagues.

Tsao is expected to compete for a spot in the Dodgers bullpen, but his
chance of getting it probably depends on the club carrying a 12-man pitching
staff.

The Dodgers have reached an agreement with pitcher Chin-Hui Tsao, the top
prospect in the Colorado Rockies organization before injuries derailed his
progress. A contract is contingent on Tsao's passing a physical once he obtains
a tourist visa and travels from Taiwan to Los Angeles.

The deal will pay Tsao slightly more than $400,000 if he makes the team and considerably less if he begins the season in the minor leagues.

The Rockies signed Tsao for $2.2 million in 1999 and Baseball America rated him as the club's top prospect three times. His fastball was clocked at 100 mph when he pitched for Taiwan during the 2004 Olympics, and the Rockies hoped he would become their closer.

Tsao, 25, had surgery to repair a torn labrum in May 2005, however, and hasn't pitched in a game since. He also had elbow ligament replacement surgery in 2001 and has had biceps tendon and hamstring problems.

The Dodgers believe he is worth signing because he is relatively young and appears to have recovered from his shoulder surgery. Tsao hit 94 mph pitching in front of scouts this winter and several teams bid for his services after the Rockies declined to offer him a contract.

During short stints with the Rockies in 2003, 2004 and 2005, Tsao was 4-3 with four saves and a 5.80 earned-run average in 63 2/3 innings. He was 29-20 with a 2.74 ERA in the minors, striking out 431 and walking 93 in 371 innings.

Scouts say that in addition to a potentially dominant fastball, Tsao throws an above-average slider and can throw his curveball and changeup for strikes.

三則新聞意思都差不多，就是曹錦輝簽小聯盟約，若上大聯盟則可領超過四十萬，但前提是要以旅遊簽證赴美做健康檢查，通過合約才能生效，只不過，台灣媒體有看沒有懂。

小曹復活加盟 道奇官網聚焦

道奇官網倒是沒提到小曹加盟後的定位，惟昨日的《洛杉磯時報》報導，依照雙方合約，若小曹在今年球季能由大聯盟出發，就可以有42萬美元年薪，約1377萬台幣，不過若是在小聯盟薪資就會相對減少。小曹也得到道奇隊在佛羅里達維若灘春訓的邀約。

聯合、中時和自由都看懂了，不過東森新聞看不懂，稍微有常識的人都知道，大小聯盟的薪水差很多，不可能只有少一點，假如只有少一點，那洛杉磯時報幹嘛寫"considerably less"。

接下來這段新聞也很有趣，從頭到尾只有一則新聞提到簽證，那是洛杉磯時報說他要取得旅遊簽證去，不過自由時報自己外加，「通過身體檢查，將儘快取得工作簽證加入道奇春訓」，不知道是哪來的。

乍聽曹錦輝換到道奇隊，劉志昇反倒請小曹留意自己的「市場價值」。
「洛磯是小市場球隊，道奇相對是大市場球隊，買與賣之間，速度很快。」他說，小曹在身體許可範圍下，應該放手一搏，因為，如果表現好，立即被肯定，但表現不好，再被賣出去也不是不可能。

大聯盟球員買賣本來速度就很快，什麼時候和大事場小市場有關係了？又，表現好自然道奇會當寶，但表現不好，真得能賣出去嗎？

畢竟是受過傷、開過刀的投手，劉志昇覺得，小曹雖「千萬急不得」，今年能夠恢復到巔峰時期的7、8成就算很優了，若是到了8、9成，就是放手一搏的時候，「因為你要想想，道奇隊此時買你過來，會讓你休息嗎？」

不論哪支球隊，獲得剛傷癒的選手時，都會給予一定時間來復健，該休息還是得休息，你以為是中華職棒阿，沒事就操投手，沒受傷操，受傷也操，傷好也操，難怪抹煞一堆人才，況且現在道奇投手多，若沒帶十二名投手，曹錦輝還不見得有位子，剛好讓小曹有機會好好找回球感，道奇也順便可以少花點錢。

劉志昇相信：「小曹看得開，可以豪賭一把（職棒人生）。」

看來是你自己在豪賭吧！又不是在玩梭哈，能投就要投，有本事就上場，哪來的豪賭，真是牛頭不對馬嘴。

希望媒體真得不要再亂報了，唉！
